Statement

I am a designer, sculptor, and creator using technology and the tools of today to attempt an abstract geometry realizable by 3D design, 3D printing technology, and a seven-axis CNC robot. I employ traditional foundry as well, and all of my work is hand finished.

This kind of sculpture has been named Digital Stone by Jon Isherwood, a great pioneer in this field. Another great pioneer is Tony Cragg. Designing the sculpture before any chisel has been lifted allows me to make the most of such precious resources without waste, and previously unused cast-off or irregular blocks also can be used. These are great innovations in the world of sculpture.

My work is influenced by the sculptors Jean Arp and Henry Moore, and I am most fascinated by Gogottes, found in Fontainebleau, France, which are natural formations of calcium carbonate and quartz formed 5,000-8,000 years ago.
